Hi everyone! I have a feeling that the answer to this question is 'no' - provided that someone out there even knows the answer - but I figure it doesn't hurt to ask: Is there an archive of really old Split Times that might be browsed by an interested party? By 'really old', I mean from the mid 1980s, especially 1985 through 1987, when the Split Times newsletter was four pages that appeared to have been produced on a typewriter and photocopied? If I recall correctly, the bulk of it was the race schedule and results that are now presented on the SFTC website.

You see, I'm getting myself back into running after a two-decade hiatus, and I'd be curious to look through some regional road race results from that period to see if I was as good as I remember!

Sorry this unanswered post has been out there so long. I thought someone who might have the answer to your question might have replied. I have just borrowed Split Times back issues last night from 1988 that I plan to do something with but it may take me a while. Unfortunately that still does not cover the time period you asked about. Is there anyone out there who has Split Times retains prior to 1988 or know who might??

The oldest issues in my possession are Nov/Dec 1987 and Jan/Feb 1988 ... Mike Woodruff was the editor at that time (if Hank Brown wasn't involved then, he was soon thereafter ... he may have some of those back issues) ... not a lot of help, I know, but that's all I got ... :-)

Actually, if I had been more specific about the information I hoped to find, someone could have probably told me that it was readily available online!

The main thing I was looking for was confirmation that my all-time 10K PR was as I remembered it: 40:09 at the 1986 Eastman Road Race - As if I could forget coming that close to a sub-40 10K and not getting it! Anyway, after a bit of surfing, I found the Eastman results from the mid 1980s on the website for that race.
